Rocky
I was asked to make a piece of jewelry for this gorgeous man by his partner. No color or stone ideas . . . nothing. Just make something that would suit him.
It looks perfect! This is the first time I have received a picture back of a piece from the owner with it on. I was tickled.
It is Kamababa Jasper beads and solid copper beads.
Magpie Gemstones ~ Gorgeous discount prices gemstone beads.

Labradorite Copper Swirl Necklace
These beauties are from labradorite that could not be sold. They were luscious stones with "issues". I love the challenge of taking a stone with badly drilled holes and giving it the life it deserves as a necklace that will be cherished. These rustic labradorite and ruby necklaces are a Christmas Special for $85.00 in my store soon. This is a limited run of four necklaces.

Dallas Gem Show and Moonstone Swirl.
Hello Dallas. After a harrowing drive through rain we made it to the Dallas Gem and Mineral show. We set up and then found a Denny's by our hotel for some yummy greasy eggs and intriguing people listening. It's like people watching but just slightly more polite.
I am anticipating the vendors opening up tomorrow that we couldn't sneak peaks at today since they were set up and gone. The thin table covers hiding their wares almost made them invisible but definitely off limits.
There looks like there will be a lot of gems, playing, and information flying at this one. It's a big show. Nice room too with awesome lighting. Looks like it was built for trade shows.
Last night before I went to bed a piece of moonstone sucked me in and asked to be made up into this beauty.

The grey (black) moonstone focal is just darling and all cat's eye. The labradorite is a bit rough but was exactly the right hue. The moonstone even has a few flashes of red that play off the garnets. I like it.

Karen's Impression Jasper
My best friend was here for two weeks for a visit. I hadn't seen her in 4 years. She picked this piece up out a bunch of focals I had made up and we put together a necklace for her. The copper chain and beads as well as the labradorite and shell coins matched perfectly with the bronze and green in the impression jasper cabochon.
The wrap is made with all round wire, no half round or square, as I was trying to keep myself busy at a slow market and that was all I had on hand.

Before you ask ......... yes there is more in Auction on eBay . The nuggets usd on this one was only a half strand that I found in all the larimar I picked from and was the only one just like this. That is why the larimar is in auction, every strand is so unique I couldn't build listings for it.
Wow ........... Larimar and enough sterling to sink a battle ship. Rough, gorgeous, high quality. This piece has it all. 18 inches and it looks like ice glowing in the sun. This piece will go on sale next week on my jewelry site http://www.szarkas.com/ . Never another like it. I may put it in the Magpie Gemstones store under treasures as well. Not sure yet.

Azurite Triangle.
This beauty is an azurite cab that was mined in the 1980's. It has not a drop of malachite in it. The deep blue is mesmerizing. The heishi are azurite malachite with only the very occasional spot of malachite green. The heishi lays in line with the cab when worn. Looks so great on. It is longer. About 22 inches. I will put it up for sale next week in http://www.szarkas.com/ . For those who want to know if I have more there was only one, the supplier only had one of each. These are one of a kind in every way imaginable.

Wild Horse and Sterling
Second wrap I did on this Wild Horse Cab. It is so large I have been having a hard time with it. I think this one is a keeper but I may change my mind. The Wild Horse turquoise is not actually turquoise but a magnesite. It is a rare and beautiful stone. For sale on my Magpie Gemstones site here.

My work bench is clean and I now have glases and it worked. The muse has been awoken.
These pieces are all made with my son's borosilica glass work. It matched beautifull with apatite, opalite, pineapple quartz and kyanite. These look amazing on. They glow.
If you click on the picture I do believe they get bigger.
You can see them for sale on my jewelry site http://www.szarkas.com/ in the next few days.
