Heirloom Quality Gemstone Art for the Unique Human. Wire wrapped and gemstone art jewelry by international artisan jewelry designer Szarka of Magpie Gemstones.
The stone is a bead, though I have also done cabachons this way. Capture the stone first with as simple of a wrap as possible and then begin to form the chaos with lots of wire that is left over. It takes time and a lot of manipulation to harden the wire and have it stay exactly where you want each curl to rest.

I like the middle copper one because the stone seems to be growing out of the wire. The other two don't seem as cohesive to me.
I just love them all, how do you do it? do you knit first the chaos and wrapp the stone in it after?
