Heirloom Quality Gemstone Art for the Unique Human. Wire wrapped and gemstone art jewelry by international artisan jewelry designer Szarka of Magpie Gemstones.
I picked up a few strands of these on my last trip but I was unsure of how these opal rondelles would photograph so I didn't put any in the store. I gave them all to Dani to take on the Turquoise Magpie bead show trail. They are very opalescent with mild fire that is subtle and beautiful. I love these guys. I may have to pick up more if there is any interest. A Clay Jeani really shows off the purple and pink fire that is in them. Hand hammered and polished brass beads and clasp.
This is the last ....... the very last of Jeani's Egyptian focals. The faux Emeralds she created with her artistry mimic the Natural Emeralds surrounding the necklace perfectly. Firey chatoyant Tiger eye finish off the piece. I am so glad you moved and found another one of these for me to play with hun. Solid copper wire and bead. There is a bigger pic on my site www.szarkas.com
Jeani sent me a box of new focals. These are an older style she created to mimic gemstones, faceted gems included. It's beautiful Jeani! I matched it up with Rainbow Moonstone Rondelles, Sapphire barrels, and copper Pearls. The silver is Sterling Vermeil from www.magpiegemstones.com
A Beautiful Human purchased my Amber Magic Necklace but her ears were bare. I hope she agrees that the Baltic Amber Butterscotch hearts and Sleeping Beauty Turquoise match perfectly.
My daughter is heading to Germany to learn German. Sounds like a good plan to me. I made up this pearl and Ganesh necklace to help her get there. The God Ganesh is suppose to remove obsticles. I hope it will help her get all her ducks in a row so she can manifest what she desires.
This piece was featured in the 2007 Winter Step by Step Wire Jewelry mag. It was just a picture on their Gallery of Original Designs page but that felt warm and fuzzy!
Oh my. I discovered Muscovite ............ wow. The pinkish reddish brownish ovals with fire next to the Kyanite is the Muscovite my new love. I have some for sale here at the bottom of the page. I finished this Noel Goddess with copper, Rubies, and Kyanite. This is rich. My daughter decided on the name.
I was demonstrating wire wrap techniques at the Austin Gem and Mineral Show http://www.austingemandmineral.org/ and Friday was the day the groups of school kids came running through. To impress them I thought I would hammer ferosciously and made up a hammered bracelet with Tiger Eye.
A client saw the results and requested a class so we spent an afternoon hammering copper and this was the result. I think the one she made looked better than mine.
